Chi Cheemaun Ferry Tobermory Lake Huron Ontario


The Chi-Cheemaun ferry travels across Lake Huron transporting passengers and their vehicles between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada.

The passenger and vehicle ferry known as the Chi-Cheemaun, making its crossing between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island on Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada. The Chi-Cheemaun has made this crossing since 1974 with a capacity of being able to carry 638 passengers and 143 vehicles.

The entire 30 mile trip takes approximately 2 hours with the Chi Cheemaun traveling at about 18 miles per hour in good conditions. The ferry runs from the beginning of May until the middle of October with two to three sailings departing and arriving daily.
