The Story of a Cliff at the Miguasha National Park Museum in the Gaspesie Peninsula in Quebec, Canada is one that visitors find extremely interesting. A one and a half hour guided tour will take people around each exhibit but many people like to explore and read about the fossils at their own pace.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, the Miguasha National Park Museum displays thousands of fossils which were found throughout the cliffs of the Escuminac Formation. The museum opened its doors to the public in 1978 where visitors will find over 9,000 specimens and each exhibit telling a different historic story.

The museum has had a few expansions in recent years which includes new exhibits and new laboratories, all relating to this important fossiliferous site. The museum, restaurant and souvenir shop at Miguasha National Park is opened year round giving everyone a chance to see these ancient cliff fossils.
