During the spring and summer, the shores of Elkwater Lake in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in Alberta, Canada, are adorned with pink wildflowers.

As the climate warms up in the town of Elkwater in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in Alberta, Canada, the wildflowers come to life and blossom in an array of colors. These pink wildflowers decorate the landscape along the shores of Elkwater Lake where the land remains the same after millions of years as humans have not destroyed it.

Rare species of plants and wildflowers found in Canada, grow along the shores of Elkwater Lake which was once carved and created from the glacial movement. Along with the pink wildflowers, wildlife such as deer, coyote, elk, wild turkey, cougar and moose can also be seen roaming across this wilderness landscape.

The town of Elkwater is located in the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in Alberta, Canada, approximately 40 miles southeast of Medicine Hat. There are cabins located around the lake which many use during the summer months as a quiet place to escape.
