The banks of Elkwater Lake in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in Alberta, Canada come to life when the wildflowers begin to blossom across the landscape. Beautiful pink flowers open to their fullest as the sunlight shines down upon them during the spring and summer months.
The hills around Elkwater Lake have not been disrupted by humans for millions of years and throughout the region, many plants and wildflowers are found which are very rare and only found in Canada. Visitors to the park will cross paths with various lakes and plenty of plants and wildlife which thrive on this natural landscape carved out by glacial movement.
