Fishing Shacks Battle Harbour Labrador


Old fishing shacks sit along the waterfront of Battle Harbour at the entrance to St. Lewis Inlet in Southern Labrador, Canada.

As a boat pulls into Battle Harbour at the entrance to the St. Lewis Inlet of Southern Labrador, the coastline is decorated with old fishing shacks. Battle Harbour was once a vibrant fishing community where a fishery was located in 1770 and over the years Battle Harbour Heritage Properties have reconstructed some of the buildings creating a unique tourist attraction.
