The Saint-Boniface Museum, Winnipeg’s oldest building, was originally built for nuns but is now a museum celebrating Manitoba’s history.
A short drive north of Winnipeg is the historic Hudson’s Bay Company trading post of Lower Fort Garry. This is the only stone fur trading post still intact in North America.
