Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was a famous American poet who wrote many great pieces and a statue stands at the Grand Pre National Historic Site in Nova Scotia, Canada. People admired Longfellow and on his 70th birthday, the United States made that day a national holiday and he became one of the first American celebrities.
