As skyscrapers tower above the statue known as The Illuminated Crowd in the downtown core of Montreal, Quebec, the sunlight reflects off the glass buildings and duplicates everything in the immediate area. At the entrance to the BNP Tower-Laurentian Bank Tower stands The Illuminated Crowd statue and in this picture, one can clearly see the various faces on some of the people.
Created by an artist named Raymond Mason, this statue has adorned the downtown core since 1985. Made up of a group of 66 people, each one of the faces possesses a different look. The statue passes on some messages relating to truth, comedy and tragedy to all the people who see The Illuminated Crowd.
At the front of the statue, the faces show the expressions of joy and amazement, the middle section having the people talking amongst each other and the back part of the group have a mixture of good and bad expressions on their faces. The Illuminated Crowd is a statue which is photographed by many, especially people visiting the downtown core of Montreal, Quebec in Canada.
