Johnston Canyon Lower Falls Banff

Winter conditions in Banff National Park in Alberta turn the Lower Falls of Johnston Creek into massive ice formations as the canyon water and outside temperature is extremely frigid.

Hard rock walls surround the Lower Falls of Johnston Creek in the Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada where winter has almost completely frozen the falls. A slight flow of water still cascades down the rock faces into the icy cold pool which creates a stunning winter waterfall picture.
