Once meant to be a bed and breakfast for visitors to L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland Labrador in Canada, the building was found to be too small and the owner decided on a restaurant and art gallery. Both the Norseman Restaurant and the Gaia Art Gallery were opened in 1994 by a woman who joined forces with her husband in 1998, making this one of the most exquisite restaurants in Newfoundland Labrador.
The scenery from the restaurant is amazing as it overlooks the ocean where icebergs, whales, dolphins and other wildlife pass by. Specialty items are always on the dinner menu, some which include various types of seafood, meats or wild game and the dessert menu is one to die for.
In the art gallery, visitors to L'Anse aux Meadows will find carvings, jewelery, paintings, books and an assortment of souvenirs to remind one of their trip to this unique location.
