Just outside the city of Toronto, Ontario, a sailboat enjoys the lighting at sunset while motoring along on the calm surface of Lake Ontario.

Pink hues color the clouds as the sunset hours settle in near the city of Toronto, Ontario in Canada. On this tranquil evening, a sailboat motors across the calmness of Lake Ontario as the sunset colors reflect off the water.

Being the smallest of the Great Lakes, with a length of 193 miles and 53 miles in width, many types of boat traffic use the lake for pleasure and business. A high-speed passenger ferry crosses Lake Ontario between Toronto and Rochester and during the summer months, people use the lake for recreational purposes on their sailboats and motorboats.
