In a circular area at the Manitoba Plaza outside the Legislative Building in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba, a fountain creates a beautiful display as the water drops into the pool below. Surrounding the fountain is a picturesque park like setting where people can enjoy the beauty of the area and the historic architecture on the Legislative Building.
The Legislative Building sits on 30 acres of well maintained grounds with this fountain in the Manitoba Plaza being one of the highlights. Construction began on the Legislative Building in 1913 and it was not until 1920 that the opening ceremonies took place. The grounds have been beautified over the years and this area as well as the historic building is the most expensive place in Manitoba and one which is irreplaceable.
Guided tours are available for those wanting to explore the interior of the Legislative Building while visiting the City of Winnipeg in Manitoba, but many prefer to relax in the Manitoba Plaza around the fountain.
