As you tour through the Fortress of Louisbourg in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia you will pass by this empty lot that displays the remains of the house of Joseph Dugas that was built in 1723. Joseph Dugas was an Acadien carpenter and coastal trader and moved to Louisbourg with his wife and nine children in 1726.
