Fishing Town Brigus Admirals Coast Scenic Route Newfoundland

Surrounded by the rolling landscape on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland, Canada, visitors traveling along the Admiral's Coast Scenic Route will find the ancient fishing town of Brigus.

Fishing boats dock along the wharf in the small town of Brigus located along the Admiral's Coast Scenic Route on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland, Canada. Discovered by settlers in the 1700's, this fishing town is nestled away along the coastal shores where houses, fishing stages and old rustic buildings line the waterfront.

In the center of town, quaint shops line the narrow, winding streets where historic buildings and landmarks make up the history of Brigus. About 700 people reside in this town, many whom are fishermen while others travel daily back and forth to St. John's, Newfoundland for employment.
