Crowds of people follow the costumed interpreters to witness a public punishment that will be held at the historic tourist attraction of the Fortress of Louisbourg in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. In past years, being punished was not taken lightly and the entire town would come out to watch a public punishment. Today, a historic reenactment of a public punishment was happening to a fisherman caught stealing a bottle of wine.
