As the welcome sign reads, Red Lake in Ontario, Canada is the Norseman Capital of the World, the municipality which is the most northwesterly in Ontario. With a permanent residency of approximately 5,000, six communities make up this northern region set in the wilderness of Ontario.
In Red Lake, tourists will find beautiful lakes for fishing and water activities, beaches great for suntanning and play, scenic parks and a pristine golf course. Being the Norseman Capital, every July, games, rides, entertainment, vendors and visiting Norseman aircraft all partake in a celebration to honor this.
