Red Rock Coulee Natural Area in Alberta, Canada has magnificent large boulders adorning the landscape that were created from prehistoric seas. Layers of sand, calcite and iron oxide make up the red boulders that have formed around a simple shell, leaf or bone. These red boulders grow year after year in Red Rock Coulee Natural Area as the sea water keeps adding layers.
Large Boulders which are sandstone concretions formed in prehistoric seas seen in the Red Rock Coulee Natural Area situated 65 km southwest of Medicine Hat on Highway 887, Alberta, Canada.
