Riel House Winnipeg Manitoba


At the Riel House in Winnipeg, Manitoba you can tour through this National Historic Site and meet the costumed people playing roles of the Riel family members.

The Riel House was home to Louis David Riel, the man who founded Manitoba and his family members still resided at this house up until 1969. In 1970, the Riel House was bought by Parks Canada and it was then restored to its original 1886 style so that people can tour through this National Historic Site and learn the stories behind the Riel family.
