During the sunset hours at Rock Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada, the shadows begin to take over leaving the colorful Autumn hillsides highlighted by the last remaining rays. A woman enjoys the tranquility of Rock Lake as she canoes during the evening hours with only the trickle of water coming off the paddle and the wildlife calls breaking the silence.
The scenery surrounding the canoeist is one which is unforgettable as the forested areas come to life in an array of colors during Autumn. Many who come to Algonquin Provincial Park during this peak time of year to view the mass of colors, spend a few days at the campground which remains open until Thanksgiving weekend.
Most of the tourists have returned to their place of residence after the long weekend in September, leaving the serenity of Rock Lake one of the best times to visit Algonquin Provincial Park. Many photographers are found in the park during the Autumn as this is when the scenery is the best and it is one of the prettiest times of year to be exploring the area.
