The rapids along the Sand River in Lake Superior Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada can be quite ferocious at times especially at the base of the waterfalls. The Sand River has many large rocks along its path and when the ledges drop, massive waterfalls are formed.
The rapids in this picture move very swiftly as Autumn leaves drop from the trees along the river banks and gracefully land in the crevasses on the boulders.
