To get a closer view of this Inukshuk which stands above the Tablelands Trail in Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland, Canada, one must climb the steep hill. Once at the top of the hill, the scenery of the landscape is picturesque where the one side where the Inukshuk stands, is extremely rocky while the other side flourishes in lush greenery.
While traveling the Tablelands Trail, there are a variety of Inukshuks on the ledges, hills or banks which were once used to help settlers find their way. To create an Inukshuk, one must find the proper shaped rocks which will easily stand atop of each other, many of these can be found along the rocky ledges above the Tableands Trail.
Hundreds of different trails can be hiked in Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland, Canada with the Tablelands Trail being a moderate to easy hike. The trail is about a 4 kilometer return trip which follows an old road where one can see a gold mine and view the natural geological features of the earth's mantle.
