The Elgin and Winter Gardens Theatres in Toronto, Ontario are the only remaining stacked theatres in the world.

Originally built in 1913, the Elgin and Winter Gardens Theatres in Toronto, Ontario were the architectural masterpieces of Thomas W. Lamb. The lower theatre was once used for plays and Vaudeville shows while the upper theatre was specifically used for Vaudeville shows. When visiting Toronto, Ontario today you will find that both the theatres are home to major productions, musicals and film festival.
