Local artists spent many hours creating these beautiful statues which were placed on the Historic Rail Bridge at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba for 3 months in 2008 for people to admire. This bridge is strictly a pedestrian and cyclists bridge which is used by thousands of people and nearly all visitors stopped at the statues of wolves to capture their picture.
Each of the statues stand 7.5 feet high, all of which are howling and were created for an important fundraiser similar to The Bears of Broadway which supported Cancer Care Manitoba. After the wolves were removed from the Historic Rail Bridge at The Forks, the sponsors were responsible for the statues.
The Historic Rail Bridge crosses over the Assiniboine River in the City of Winnipeg, Manitoba, an extremely popular tourist area which was the perfect placement for the Wolves of Winnipeg.
