Two structures to browse through while visiting the Wood Mountain Post Provincial Park in Saskatchewan, Canada are the tepee and the old styled building. Inside these structures, staff will take you on a guided tour and explain the history and meaning of the displays and furnishings.

From 1874 to 1918, the North West Mounted Police kept watch over the US border to stop any whiskey traders, horse thieves or cattle rustlers. The story is told of how a Major of the police once bartered with an Indian Chief who brought 5,000 followers with him into the Saskatchewan region after a battle in 1876.

The structures at the Wood Mountain Post Provincial Historic Park are open from the beginning of June to the middle of August for people wanting to learn some of the history of Saskatchewan.
