Wildfire Whitehorse

A wildfire well underway as the thick smoke fills the sky near Whitehorse in the Yukon Territories in Canada.

The Yukon Territories in Canada has about one hundred wildfires annually, some small and some creating a vast amount of damage to forests, wildlife and houses. This particular wildfire is raging just north of Whitehorse and weeks could pass before firefighters can get it under control.
